Indian Thematic Society, is an organisation, who use different themes, as the basis of their collections, founded in 1981, is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and presently having its Registered Office in Ludhiana – INDIA. Indian Thematic Society functions independently, on voluntary basis for the cause of philately and is affiliated as a Chapter [102] to World's largest thematic organization, American Topical Association, USA.

The Society
Indian Thematic Society, is an organisation, who use different themes, as the basis of their collections, founded in 1981, is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and presently having its Registered Office at MIG # 3464, Phase Two, Dugri Road, Ludhiana -141 013 INDIA. Indian Thematic Society functions independently, on voluntary basis for the cause of philately and is affiliated as a Chapter [102] to World's largest thematic organization, American Topical Association, USA.
Aims & Objectives
Main aim of the Society is to promote thematic and topical philately in general but specially in India. To help the collectors for procuring philatelic material of their interests from its different sources, at reasonable prices.
To provide a common platform to all collectors for sharing and gaining their knowledge.
To trace out new aspects of thematic philately.
To promote thematic philately in its widest sense.
To serve as countrywide common platform for thematic collectors.
To publish newsletter or magazine regularly to update all stamp collectors.
To encourage philatelic shows, exhibitions and similar events.
The Society has undertaken a number of projects and has organised some Philatelic Workshops in different Schools, Colleges, Philatelic Exhibitions. The Society has given so many prizes and running trophies to stamp collectors through different philatelic exhibitions.
Our Co-ordinations
Indian Thematic Society has established closer links with a number of thematic organisations in all parts of the world. In most cases the links are based on the exchange of magazines, thereby creating a large source of thematic and philatelic information.
Membership of the Society
Membership for this Society is open for all stamp collectors. All the members will get quarterly magazine of the society.
